Music

Sprite of a noteblock from Mario Here's a collection of music that I've created. feel free to use them in your works as long as it's not-for-profit.

SPCs

Tracks made for the SPC700 chip; used in SNES games like Super Mario World.

I use the SPC Converter for Musescore for these and, unless otherwise specified, are ported by ear. Optimized songs are ready to be inserted into hacks; unoptimized songs are "large" files and thus not recommeded for insertion. Consider them as works-in-progress in the meantime.

..Oh! also you'll need this player and knowledge of inserting SMW custom music to be able to listen to them (you just need to generate the SPC; you don't need to hack anything else).

(srry for all the unoptimized songs; I'll get back to them eventually.)

Optimized

Undertale - Absolutely Overfamiliar Shrine
by Toby Fox
Exclusive to the PlayStation versions of Undertale, a melody that plays once the player donates a certain amount of gold.
This was the obvious song to port lol. Much better than my first attempt, but the leads could be improved.

SLARPG - Because I Loved You
by beatrix quinn
Having finished watching a playthrough of SLARPG, I made this to encapsulate a scene that still chokes me up. A light and bittersweet melody.

Undertale - Fallen Down (Reprise)
by Toby Fox
This is my favorite track from the Undertale soundtrack, and one of my favorite video game songs of all time. It's the perfect song for a special moment in the game.

Unoptimized

Sonic Chaos - Mecha Green Hill Zone
by Kojiro Mikusa & Masayuki Nagao
Dinosaur Land's looking a lot more like Oil Land right now.
Another track helped with an oscilloscope view. I tried adding Yoshi Drums, but they aren't custom to the track and instead reused parts from the game.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (16-bit) - Final Boss
by Masato Nakamura
Where'd Bowser get this kinda firepower?
A song I did for practice. I saw an oscilloscope view on YouTube and it was super useful to get the notes sounding just right. The goal was to try & make it sound similar to the original, but with SNES samples instead, and I think I did okay.

Deltarune - THE WORLD REVOLVING
by Toby Fox
I'll never get over the fact that this game released its first chapter out of nowhere, under the guise of a survey program. Nearly skipped class that day because of how long this "demo" was taking. I thought it was going to end at the big gate leaving Castle Town. This isn't anything to do with the song, however. Great track; shame I didn't encounter it on my first run.TODO: update SC upload - Updated 6/28/24

Alphys Takes Action
by Robin Blend
As a teen, I was very big into Undertale. During my free time, I'd go searching for theories and fan videos on Youtube. This was from one of those videos, and it does a great job implementing a lot of familiar melodies into a cool song.
Makes me wish we had another boss battle in the game...Updated 10/31/23

Deltarune Ch. 2 - Attack of the Killer Queen
by Toby Fox, Lena Raine, & Marcy Nabors
Queen is fun as a silly but threatening antagonist, and her battle theme reflects that sort of whimsy. Would totally purchase one of her albums.

Deltarune - Field of Hopes and Dreams
by Toby Fox
Songs to bust a move and fight baddies to. Used in my previous VLDC #13 iteration.

Plants vs. Zombies - Loonboon
by Laura Shigihara
So many songs from this game get stuck in my head, and this one stick out the most. It's frantic and addictive, which is something you want in a minigame. Ported for my QLDC #1 entry.
